US rancher gives Aussies a lesson in horsemanship
"Martin's philosophy is that you allow the horse to be comfortable in it's environment and to take away any issues that we maybe giving the horse and allow them to do their job."
Allan Abdy owns Hillside Station, he says there's a lot to be learnt from the way an American sits on a horse.
"Us Aussies ride usually a lot more forward and a lot more weight on the horse and most American's don't.
That's certainly how Martin rides, he sits on the outside of them and keeps the weight of the inside of them so it's a lot easier for them to turn around and the horses can operate the way they do when we're not there."
Martin Black believes riders have to understand that horses are intelligent in their own way,sac michael kors.
"They have a frontal lobe, the horse does, that they reason with, but it's much smaller than ours. so their ability to process things and to make decisions is a lot less than ours.
But on the other hand if we understand how they think, they're a lot more intelligent than we are in their own way, their senses are much stronger than ours because their survival depends on it."sport,communitydevelopment,cloncurry4824,.
